Restore Inner West Line calls for more Western Line trains for Lidcombe

Restore Inner West Line welcomes the newly announced "More Trains, More Services" program by Transport for NSW and calls for an increase in the number of Western Line trains stopping at Lidcombe station.

With the 2013 timetable change terminating all Bankstown Line trains at Lidcombe and the removal of Liverpool via Regents Park trains, Lidcombe station is an important interchange station.

Restore Inner West Line is firstly calling for the reinstatement of regular Liverpool via Regents Park trains and in regards to the "More Trains, More Services" program urges Transport for NSW and Sydney Trains to provide more Western Line trains stopping at Lidcombe to improve connection times for Bankstown Line and City train services.

An increase of Western Line trains for Lidcombe will also reduce overcrowding which was worsened by the removal of the Liverpool via Regents Park train service with the termination of the Inner West Line at Homebush station.
