Transport NSW indicates that the proposed Bankstown to Liverpool Metro Rail Extension study map is not indicative of future Bankstown Line operations or station locations. Click here for more information about Sydney Metro.

May 2016
Restore Inner West Line continues to lobby Sydney Trains to restore the Inner West Line (Liverpool via Regents Park) train service citing patronage data. Transport NSW's statistics over the past 3 years show that overcrowding and delays on the Western and South Lines have not been reduced following the removal of Liverpool via Regents Park. The government claimed that the cutting of the Inner West Line to Homebush would reduce pressure on the Western and South Lines.

April 2016
Restore Inner West Line makes a submission to Transport NSW's Bankstown to Liverpool Metro Rail Extension Project study. See our submission here.

October 2015
Restore Inner West Line liaises with the Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (WSROC) regarding our campaign. WSROC Chief Executive (and former Strathfield Liberal MP) Charles Casuscelli refuses to support Restore Inner West Line claiming that more trains for South West Sydney is too political and not a relevant community issue.

September 2015
Restore Inner West Line calls for more train services at Lidcombe in light of proposed Wentworth Point development. Removing Inner West Line trains from an overcrowded Lidcombe station and then increasing the area's population is a bad planning. The Inner West Line through Lidcombe will alleviate overcrowding problems at Lidcombe station and will be another alternative for Wentworth Point area residents instead of driving.

August 2015
Restore Inner West Line participates in the "Direct Line Live Chat with Sydney Trains' CEO Howard Collins" only to have our questions ignored and removed from the forum. We asked what Sydney Trains would do to address the lack of regular train services in the area due to the removal of the Liverpool via Regents Park train service.

July 2015
Restore Inner West Line's surveys the community regarding strategies to improve train services and public transport in the area. 86% of respondents want the Inner West Line restored for all stations to Liverpool via Regents Park. 14% of respondents want the Sydney Metro extended to Liverpool from Bankstown. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/?sm=9lBvNeiGoZKYXjR8%2fLCglg%3d%3d
